Please work through these troubleshooting steps BEFORE phoning for support.
FAULT: CHIP MALFUNCTION (applies to Verifone terminals ) Reload EMV files 1: scroll down and select setup 2: type in 999 and press enter 3: scroll down and select edit acquirer 4: press slct 5: press exit 6: press ok 7: press the red x button twice 8: scroll down and select log on FAULT: DOWNLOAD NEEDED When ‘download needed’ appears on the screen, the terminal will need to be returned to Ecosse for repair. Please contact us regarding a replacement terminal. FAULT: LOG ON REQUIRED Verifone terminals: scroll down using up / down arrow keys and select log on. Ingenico terminals: Press F4 to log on. FAULT: ALL TERMINALS NOT WORKING If Eftpos runs via broadband: check status of broadband modem/router. Ring internet service provider if you are not able to connect to internet. If Eftpos runs via dial up: 1: check phone line 2: plug phone into phone line that Eftpos is using and check dial tone 3: try another Eftpos terminal in the phone jack (jack D, see diagram ) FAULT: TRANSMISSION ERROR 1: check phone line 2: plug phone into phone line that Eftpos is using and check dial tone 3: try another Eftpos terminal in the phone jack 4: check network connections (jack E, see diagram ) 5: check internet connectivity IF YOU STILL REQUIRE SUPPORT, PLEASE PHONE PAYMARK 0800 800 996 STILL NEED HELP?
